BREED NOTES FOR CIRNECO DELL'ETNA

Best Import Register at East of Scotland show held at the Jack Kane on Sunday 5th March was Anharbn Blue Bayou at Allanbru, owned by Cathy Allan, judge was Bill Paterson.

I was pleased to be able to judge the majority of Hounds and the Hound Group recently in Scotland but very disappointed to find that the Import Register class was held AFTER the Best In Show was completed. This in effect makes the Import Register classes of even less importance by doing this.

Societies please be aware that these people are paying their entry fees and campaigning their Imports Register dogs with little support as it is without putting them on last. Imports should have the right to at least do a lap of honour in the big ring even though they are not yet able to compete for BIS.

The next BIG event for the Cirneco dell'Etna is the World Dog Show in Paris. Our judge will be from Italy this year, Mr Giovanni Battista Tabo will do the honours. The entries close on 1st June at www.cedia.fr or www.worlddogshow2011.fr. This year it will be held in conjunction with the Championnat de France. Group 5 WDS will be 9th July and CDF 8th July. The WDS usually draws a large entry of Cirnechi. With such a lovely gathering of Cirnechi owners, it's is nice to catch up with old friends and put faces to new friends.
